Tork launches biobased cleaning cloth to help manufacturers meet their sustainability goals without compromising performance.

Manufacturing today faces a particular challenge – how to balance the demand to continuously improve productivity with the need to meet sustainability goals. Tork®, an Essity brand, has extended its industrial cleaning offering with new products and packaging that aim to meet the increasing need for solutions that help businesses improve on both fronts.

Tork products and packaging have been re-designed to maximise efficiency and deliver greater sustainability, all while maintaining rigorous performance standards. The brand is now launching improvements to their popular W4&W7 systems and introducing the plant-based and sustainably sourced Tork Biobased Heavy-Duty Cleaning Cloth. The new cloth allows manufacturers to benefit from improved performance for absorption, durability, linting and solvent consumption while reducing their environmental impact. It is also OK Biobased certified by TÜV Austria – 4 stars (the highest grade).

Considering sustainability in every part of the development process, Tork has made improvements across the range including recycled packaging and reduced carbon emissions. Their packaging now uses 30% recycled plastics and 100% recycled cardboard fibres.

As Tork is constantly innovating to develop products that improve productivity as well as sustainability, the new upgrades also make dispensing more efficient. Tork Cleaning Cloths are now interfolded for easier, faster access, and flexible mounting options allow for an enhanced workflow. The cloths save 32% on cleaning time compared to rags, with a reduction in effort of 25%.
